Adimitra books a slight increase in coal sales

Coal mining company, PT Adimitra Baratama Nusantara booked a slight increase in coal sales in the first two months of the year compared to the same period of last year.

Marketing Director Michael Soerijadji told Petromindo.com on Monday the company has sold about 800,000 tons of coal in the first two months of the year.

"We exported about 400,000 ton per month in the first two months of the year, compared to about 350,000 tons per month in the corresponding period of last year," he said adding that the coal is mostly destined to China, Japan and Taiwan.

"The demand from these three countries is increasing," he said, adding the company is eyeing about 5.5 to 6 million ton sales this year.

The firm which has a concession in Sanga Sanga district, East Kalimantan is majority owned by PT Toba Bara Sejahtera.
