Adimitra in coal offtake talks with traders

East Kalimantan coal miner PT.Adimitra Baratama Nusantara said on Tuesday it was in talks with several trading firm to offtake its entire coal production, which is expected to start in October 2008.
Managing Director Heddy Soerijadji told Petromindo.Com that the company is currently in talks with Vitol, Glencore AG, Sojitz and Noble Group.
Heddy said Adimitra will produce 50,000 tonnes of coal per month until December this year, ramping up to 1 million tonnes next year.
He added that the company is nearly completing 5-km haul road and 200,000-tonnes stockpile. The stock pile capacity will be increased to 600,000 tonnes once full capacity is reached.
Coal from the mine will be barged to anchorage in Muara Jawa.
The company has a KP license which covers an area of 3,000 hectares in Kutai Kartanegara regency. The mine will produce coal with CV range of 5,800-6,300Kcal/kg. (denny)
