Adimitra plans to produce 7.1MT next year

East Kalimantan coal miner PT Adimitra Baratama Nusantara (ABN) plans to boost its coal output to 7.1 million tonnes (MT) in 2012 from this year?s coal output target of 4.1 million tonnes at its mine in Kutai Kartanegara regency, the company?s official told Petromindo.Com.

ABN?s director Arthur Simatupang said that with the recently signed contract extension with Petrosea, ABN will be able to achieve its target and will boost ouput further to 8MT in 2013 and to 9.2MT in 2015.

For this year, ABN is confident to reach its target, he said without giving further details.

Adimitra expects the coal output by Petrosea to increase to 4 million tonnes from 3 million tonnes this year with further ramp-up to 5 million tonnes in 2012.

Besides Petrosea, Adimitra also hired local contractor PT. Bangun Karya Pratama Lestari to mine its coal. (denny)
