East Kalimantan coal miner PT Adimitra Baratama Nusantara (ABN) has signed 2-year coal barging agreement with shipping firm PT Pelita Samudera Shipping (PSS), industrial sources recently said.
The agreement stipulates price and quantity limit of coal loaded in details.
PSS will transport coal from ABN?s loading port to appointed vessel with total quantity between 500,000-1.5 million tons.
Besides PSS, ABN has picked another shipping firm PT Pelayaran Kartika Samudra Adijaya since 2009 and has extended from 2011 until next 5 years as its major partner to carry ABN?s coal shipment activity from jetty port to mother vessel.
ABN expects to produce around 4 million tons this year, from initial target of 5.7 million tons, but plans to ramp up production to around 7-8 million tons next year.
