AFE for additional production Cepu block submitted to SKK Migas

The Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) for Well Pad B Early Oil (WPBEO), a new concept which is expected to provide additional production of 35,000 bopd at the Banyu Urip field in Cepu block, has been submitted to upstream authority SKK Migas.
The Cepu block is operated by ExxonMobil Cepu Ltd (EMCL), a unit of ExxonMobil Oil Indonesia, with a 45 percent participating interest and PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PEPC) holds another 45 percent.
"Currently the WPBEO concept is being examined from all aspects, especially its flaring permit," President Director of PEPC Amril Thaib Mandailing told Petromindo.com.
He was optimistic that the AFE will be approved by the agency.
According to Amril, the WPBFO production facility is scheduled to provide an additional of 35,000 bopd this March or April.
