Again fire hits Perawang

Another fire hit Perawang, Riau on Monday after dozens of houses in the workers housing facility owned by PT Surya Dumai Industri were burned down early last month.

The latest fire hit dozens of local residents' houses but the fire could be stopped thanks to the help from fire brigades operated by PT Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper and PT Caltex.

No casualties were reported but 18 families whose houses were burned had to stay with their relatives until their homes were rebuilt.(*)
