Agency conducts geological survey in Maluku Islands

The Geological Agency of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is conducting geological survey in Selaru, Arafura Selatan and Pulau Buru in Maluku Islands to help find new oil and gas potentials.

Head of the Geological Agency, Ego Syahrial told Petromindo.com on Monday that the results of the survey will be submitted to the ministry as basis for future tender of new oil and gas blocks.

?This year, we?re conducting survey in Selaru, Arafura Selatan and Pulau Buru,? he said, adding that the agency conducts the survey on its own without participation of other parties.
