Agis changes name to Sigmagold

IDX-listed electronics retailer PT Agis Tbk has renamed itself to PT Sigmagold Inti Perkasa Tbk as it is expanding to mining industry, particularly gold mining business.

In a statement filed with the Indonesian Stock Exchange on Thursday, the firm said the new name is effective Friday.

The firm said it chose the name since it has entered the mining business. It already has gold concession in West Sumatra and is in the phase of acquiring several other gold mines in the country.
