IDX-listed PT Agis Tbk, an electronics trader which has expanded to mining sector, said it would start producing alluvial gold in the first half of next year from its concessions in West Sumatra.

Last year, the firm acquired two gold concessions in West Sumatra measuring a total of 7000 hectares.

Aside from producing alluvial gold, President Director Steven Kusuma said the firm also planned to start exploration for primary gold in the first half of next year alongside its partner China Coal Geology Mining (CCGM).

He said the firm is now in the process of obtaining all permits for the alluvial gold production and primary gold explorations.
