Agreement on gas pipeline from Pemping to Batam sealed

The consortium of Bright, PLN Batam, and PT Universal Batam Energy and a group of developers has recently signed an agreement for the construction of gas pipeline linking Pemping and Batam islands.
The members of the constructors grouping are PT Batam Trans Gasindo, PT Hafardaya Konstruksi, PT Prosys Bangun Persada and PT KPM Oil and Gas.
The agreement was a follow-up on the gas sales agreement between PLN Batam and PT Universal Batam Energy as gas buyers and PT Premier Oil Natuna Sea BV as the seller (Gajah Baru).
Dadan Kurniadipura, President Director of Bright PLN Batam which leads the consortium, said the pipeline was targeted to be finalized by mid 2014.
PLN Batam is also constructing combined cycle power plant in Tanjung Uncang with a capacity of 190 MW.
