AKR executes coal export contract

AKR President Director Haryanto Adikoesoemo said in Jakarta last week the first shipment of the coal was carried out on March 31 through the IBT coal terminal in Central Kalimantan and further transported with supermax veseel Mandarin River.
?The ship carried about 52,900 tons of coal of 5,000 calorific value,? Haryanto said, adding that the shipment marked the company?s success in coping with problems of transportation from the company?s mining area.
He said the coal was first transported by a tug boat from the company?s mining site in Buntok Keceil, Central Kalimantan, to the IBT terminal. The company is currently improving road and other transport infstructure including the Buntok Baru port and new stock piles to ease transportation problems. (*)
