AKR expands network to distribute subsidized petroleum

IDX-listed PT AKR Corporindo Tbk, one of Indonesia?s largest distributors of petroleum products and basic chemicals, is currently developing 15 new fuel stations to expand its fuel distribution network in the country, the company said in a statement recently.
The company as of February of this year operates 116 fuel stations comprising of 61 stations to supply fuel for fishermen fishing fleets, and 55 stations for motorists, spread in Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi and Bali islands.
In December 2013, the downstream oil and gas regulator BPH Migas awarded AKR with a contract to distribute 650,000 kilo liters of subsidized fuel products during 2014.
