AKR, Petronas to start 2011 subsidized fuel distribution

Indonesia Eexchange-listed fuel distributor PT Aneka Kimia Raya (AKR) Corporation and Petronas of Malaysia have expanded their distribution networks outside Java and Bali to help state oil, gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero) distribute 2011 subsidized fuels.
Chairman oil and gas downstream regulator BPH Migas, Tubagus Haryono said in Jakarta Thursday that besides Pertamina, the agency had also named the two companies to distribute subsidized fuels.
He said that AKR would distribute 12,410 kiloliters of subsidized Premium gasoline and 90,510 kiloliters of diesel oil in North Sumatra, Lampung, South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, West Kalimantan and South Sulawesi.
Meanwhile Petronas will distribute 20,440 kiloliters of Premium gasoline in Medan, North Sumatra, next year. The fuel will be part of 38.59 million kiloliters of subsidized fuels allocated for 2011. (godang/bernard/giok)
