AKR Q1 fuel sales soar on strong demand

IDX-listed fuel distributor and logistics firm PT AKR Corporindo Tbk reported on Tuesday that it sold 258,000 kiloliters of fuel during the first quarter of 2010, or 36 percent higher compared to last year?s same quarter sales.
The Company said higher oil prices during Q1'2010 resulted in average selling price of Rp 5,404/litre (US$=Rp9,010), 26 percent higher than Rp 4,298/litre in Q1?2009.
The Company attributed the increase in sales volume to better economic condition.
?AKR continued to increase its network and customer base in mining, power, bunker and industrial sectors, to which it supplies High Speed Diesel and Fuel Oil,? the Company said. (alex)
