AKR reports higher fuel sales

IDX-listed fuel and chemical distributor AKR Corporindo Tbk reported on Tuesday that its fuel sales during the first half of 2010 rose by 27 percent to 552,000 kiloliters with sales value of RP.3 trillion (US$=Rp.9,035).
Average selling price of Rp 5,496/litre was 24 percent higher than previous year's corresponding period.
The company supplies High Speed Diesel, Fuel Oil and other refined petroleum products to mining, power, bunker
and industrial establishments, from its network of 15 terminals in Indonesia.
"Petroleum sales volumes will continue to grow with increasing demand for petroleum products in coal mining sector especially in Kalimantan. Demand for petroleum products in Indonesia overall continues to rise with improving economic conditions and GDP growth. AKR continues to increase petroleum sales and seeks to grow its volumes in the coming quarters," it said. (alex)
