AKR reports increased fuel sales in Q1

Monday, June 1 2009 - 05:32 PM WIB

IDX-listed fuel distributor and logistics firm AKR Corporindo Tbk said its first quarter 2009 fuel sales volume increased to 190,000 kiloliters (kl) from 170,000 kl in the same period last year.

The company attributed the increase to the sustained demand for fuel in mining sectors.

Revenue from the sales, however, decreased to Rp.817 billion (US$=Rp.9,200) from Rp.1.12 trillion last year, reflecting decrease in fuel price sold.

CEO Haryanto Adikoesoemo said in December 2008 that company is projecting fuel sales of 1.2 million kl this year as opposed to 700,000 kl last year. (alex)
