AKR, Surya Parna to accompany Pertamina distributing subsidized fuel in 2013

Downstream regulator BPH Migas has selected PT AKR Corporindo and PT Surya Parna Niaga to accompany state oil and gas firm PT Pertamina in the supply and distribution of subsidized fuels in 2013.

Pertamina will distribute 45 million kl of fuels, or some 97 percent of the total of subsidized fuel quota of 46.01 million kl for next year.

AKR will handle the distribution of 267,892 kl, mainly in North Sumatra, Lampung, South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan and South Sulawesi. Surya Parna meanwhile will be in charge of distributing 119,150 kl in North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau Islands, Riau, Lampung, Bangka Belitung and North Sulawesi.

The difference between the next year?s quota and the total allotment for the three companies, which stands at 612,958 kl, has been set as reserve, BPH Migas said in a statement.
