AKR to add 40 new fuel filling stations next year

IDX-listed petroleum product distributor PT AKR Corporindo Tbk plans to build 40 additional fuel filling stations next year to support the company?s fuel retail business.

?Next year, we plant to add 40 units (of filling station),? said Haryanto Adikoesoemo, President Director of AKR, on Thursday.

As per the third quarter of this year, AKR operates 129 fuel filling stations spread in Java, Sumatra, Bali, and Kalimantan. The planned 40 additional stations will be set in the four islands.

The company reported that net profit in the first nine months of this year increased by 46 percent to Rp 845 billion compared to Rp 579 billion in the corresponding period of last year, mostly contributed by fuel distribution and trade businesses.
