AKR to commence Jakarta tank terminal in March

IDX-listed firm PT AKR Corporindo Tbk said its tank terminal unit PT Jakarta Tank Terminal (JTT) is expected to start in March this year, the company?s president director said.
Haryanto Adikoesoemo said on Monday that the facility, which will be built on a 15.5 hectares of lands, will have total storage capacity of 450,000 cubic meters, 250,000 cubic meters of which will start operations in March this year. The second phase is expected to be completed in 2012.
AKR has 51 percent stake in JTT with Dutch storage firm Royal Vopak has the remaining balance.
The terminal is equipped with submarine pipeline and two jetties that can handle tankers with 65,000 DWT plus 8,000 DWT.(godang)
