Alam Karya to market Beringin Jaya coal

IDX-listed PT Alam Karya Unggul Tbk, which is primarily engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of plastic bags and packaging materials, has been appointed as coal marketing agent of East Kalimantan-based coal miner PT Beringin Jaya Abadi.
The two companies signed a two-year contract on July 18, under which Alam Karya will act as marketing agent for Beringin Jaya?s coal with calorific value of 4,800-5,000 kcal/kg, Alam Karya said in a statement obtained Saturday. The contract is valid from August 1, 2014 until July 31, 2016.
It added that Alam Karya will get a commission fee of US$0.3 per ton of coal sold.
