Alfa Energi completes pre-FS for mine mouth power plant

Coal mining company PT Alfa Energi stated that it has completed a pre-feasibility for a planned mini mine mouth power plant with a capacity of 50 MW in Anggana District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan.

Aris Munanadar, Director of Alfa Energy told Petromindo.com on Thursday that currently the company is preparing to enter the feasibility study stage.

?We are in the process of seeking for the consultant to conduct feasibility studies, we have already obtained the principal license and location permit as well from the local government,? he said.

Aris said once the company finds the consultant, the FS will be started as soon as possible. ?It can be in May we start the process,? he said.

Alfa Energy operates concession in Kutai Kartanegara with JORC resources of 25 million tons and reserves of 11 million tons. The 2,000-ha concession contains coal with CV of 4,300 kcal per kg (GAR).
