Coal mining company PT Alfa Energi stated that it has sold around 69,000 ton of coal in the first quarter of 2016 from its concession in Samarinda, East Kalimantan province.
Aris Munandar, Director of Alfa Energi told Petromindo.com on Friday that the sales were below the company?s target. ?Our quarterly sales target is 90,000 tons, while the annual target is around 360,000 tons,? he said adding that most of the coal was absorbed by domestic buyers.
The firm produced around 70,000 tons in the first three months of the year. ?We could not work optimally due to rains. Otherwise, we would be able to produce 90,000 tons,? he said
Alfa Energi?s concession measures about 2,000 hectares. While producing, the firm is conducting exploration. Based on the previous JORC, the concession has about 10 million ton reserves with CV of GAR 4300.
