Alfa Energi to increase coal production in third quarter

Coal mining company PT Alfa Energi is targeting to increase coal output from 20,000 tons per month to 50,000 tons per month in the third quarter of this year from its coal concession in Samarinda, East Kalimantan.
An industry source told Petromindo.com on Wednesday that the target to raise production comes following results of drilling activity which has shown significant reserves at the concession.
The company aims to complete exploration activity this year to find out new JORC reserves at the 2,000 ha concession, which based on previous JORC has estimated reserves of 10 million tons with coal CV of GAR 4300.
