Alfa Energy adds coal resources in E. Kalimantan

Coal mining company PT Alfa Energi claimed that coal resources at its concession in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, has increased significantly based on the new JORC.

Aris Munanadar, Director of Alfa Energy told Petromindo.com that the coal resources at the company?s concession has jumped to 21 million tons from 10 million tons under the previous JORC.

Aris revealed that the company is currently targeting to complete the JORC reserves in 2016. ?By next year, our capital expenditure will be allocated for completing the JORC reserves,? he said, without elaborating the amount of the company?s capex.

The 2,000-ha concession has coal with CV of GAR 4300. The company is still carrying out mining activity, while also conducting exploration activity.
