Alfa Energy plans mine mouth power plant in E. Kalimantan

Coal mining company PT Alfa Energi plans to develop a mini mine mouth power plant with a capacity of 50 MW in Anggana District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan.
Aris Munandar, Director of Alfa Energy told Petromindo.com that currently the company is seeking for principal license from the local government to get the location permit.
"We have a plan for developing the power plant after obtaining the JORC results for our coal concession earlier this month," he said, adding that JORC results show about 25 million tons of coal resources and 11 million tons of reserves.
He did not provide further details about the planned mine mouth power plant project.
The concession covers about 2,000 hectares, with the coal CV of GAR 4,300.
