ASX-listed Altura Mining Ltd announced on Monday it had received the final approval for the borrow and use forest area permit (or IPPKH) from the Indonesian Ministry of Forestry for its 70 percent-owned Suryaraya Permata Khatulistiwa (SPK) IUP in the northern area of the Tabalong Coal Project in South Kalimantan Province.

Altura said in a statement the approved IPPKH with an area of 465.29 hectares allows for the mining pit, waste dumps, mine infrastructure and haul road. ?The IPPKH approval will allow mining of the project to commence and adds significant value to the Tabalong Coal Project,? the company said, but did not provide further details.

The Tabalong Coal Project consists of five mining licences (IUPs) in the province of South Kalimantan on the island of Borneo. All five IUPs are granted for Operation Production.
