AME sees stable coal output at 500,000 tons this year

Coal mining and trading firm PT Anggun Makmur Energy (AME) expects coal production to reach 500,000 tons this year, which is the same as last year?s.

AME has a number of coal mines in East and South Kalimantan. In East Kalimantan, the company has three mines including in Muara Badak, Dondang and Sanga-Sanga, with combined production in 2011 amounted to about 500,000 tons. Coal from the three mines in East Kalimantan have calorific values - respectively - of 4,700 kcal/kg (GAR), 4,900 kcal/kg (GAR), and 5,400 kcal/kg (GAR), with sulphur content of between 1.3-1.5 percent.

The company?s coal buyers are mostly traders including Noble, Glencore and LG.
