Amerada Hess Indonesian crude production down in Q4 2002

US oil and gas company Amerada Hess on Wednesday reported its Indonesian net crude production had reached 3,000 barrels per day (BPD) during the fourth quarter of 2002, down from 4,000 BPD during the previous quarter.

The company did not say the cause of production decline.

Amerada Hess has 30 percent of non-operating interest in Jabung production sharing contract (PSC) onshore South Sumatra, operating in Pangkah PSC in East Java, and has 25 percent non-operating interest in Jambi-Merang join operation body (JOB) onshore South Sumatra.

In October 2002, the company farmed out a 70 percent of working interest and operatorship in Lematang PSC. (robert)
