Amerada Hess Indonesian crude production up in Q1 2002

US based oil and gas company Amerada Hess Corp. announced on Wednesday that net crude production from its Indonesian operations increased to 6,000 barrels per day (BPD) in the first quarter of 2002, compared to last year?s corresponding quarter net production of 5,000 BPD.
First quarter crude production figure was unchanged compared to last quarter.
Natural gas production data for Indonesia was not available.
Amerada Hess has interests in three onshore producing oil and gas fields the southern part of Sumatra; Jabung production sharing contract (PSC) (30 percent non-operating interest (NOI)), Lematang PSC (70 percent operating interest) and Jambi-Merang JOB (25 percent NOI).
The company also has 40 percent operating interest in Pangkah PSC in East Java which currently being developed and 42.5 percent operating interest in Tanjung Aru deepsea exploration block offshore Makassar Strait. (alex)
