Amin installed as SKK Migas chairman

Amin Sunaryadi official took over the leadership of upstream authority SKK Migas from J. Widjonarko in a ceremony held on Friday.

The ceremony was presided over by Minister of Enery and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said, attended among others by Kardaya Warnika, head of the House of Representatives? Commission VII in charge of among others energy affairs, and commission deputy head Satya Widya Yudha.

During the occasion, Amin also signed the so-called ?integrity pact? in wich he pledged to hold high the dignity of the state and government.

Sudirman said he expected Amin to bring ?fresh wind of change? for the betterment of the oil and gas industry.

Widjonarko was appointed as acting chairman of the agency last year folowing the arrest of then chairman Rudi Rubiandini on bribery charges.

Widjonarko said the change in the leadership of SKK Migas should come in line with the government?s vision to realize energy independence in Indonesia.

Amin underlined in his speech that he does not have oil and gas background, but he understands that investors need an improvement in system and procedures and a quicker and better decision making.
