Amoseas to hold public consultation meeting on Drajat power plant

Amoseas Indonesia, acting as operator under a joint operating contract with Pertamina to develop a third electricity generating unit at the Dradjat Geothermal Resource, Garut, West Java, invites interested parties to join its public consultation meeting that will be held on Wednesday (Nov. 19) next week at the town of Garut.

In a notice published on The Jakarta Post on Friday, the company said that the meeting would discuss the project in general and its potential to be registered as an approved methodology under the Clean Development Mechanism as administered by the CDM Executive Board of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

The meeting, which will be held at the Pendopo meeting hall of the local administration of the Garut regency, will start at 3 o'clock in the afternoon.

Amoseas Indonesia is wholly owned subsidiary of U.S. oil giant ChevronTexaco. Aside from the geothermal project, Amoses also operates North Duri Co-generation Project in support of PT Caltex Pacific Indonesia?s operation in Riau Province. (*)
