Anadarko, Premier eyeing S. Sumatra exploration block

US oil company Anadarko Petroleum is competing with UK independent oil, gas firm Premier Oil PLC to farm-in Bunga Mas onshore exploration block in South Sumatra, a Petromindo.Com source said.
Local firm PT.Erry Guna is currently holding 100 percent working interest in the block. The company was awarded the block through direct offer mechanism in October last year.
Anadarko Indonesia spokesperson declined to comment on the matter. Premier Oil Indonesia official could not be reached for comment. (godang)
