Anadarko to resume drilling at Nunukan PSC

Indonesian unit of US oil, gas firm Anadarko Petroleum Company said it plans to drill up to three wells in the first quarter of 2013 on the Badik prospect in Nunukan PSC, East Kalimantan, in a approximately 220-250 feet water depth.
The company said on Tuesday in a tender announcement that the project will utilize a jack-up drilling rig. The company has delayed its drilling campaign for one year as it previously planned drilling in 2012.
Anadarko and partners in the block in 2010 encountered approximately 133 net feet of oil and gas pay from Badik-1 exploration well.
Anadarko is the Nunukan PSC operator with 35 percent interest. Indonesian firm Medco Energi has 40 percent interest in the block with the balance equally shared by Indian firms Videocon Industries Limited and Bharat PetroResources Limited.
The company is reportedly plans planning to sell its Indonesian upstream assets including entire interest at Nunukan PSC.
