British energy company Andalas Energy and Power plc announced Tuesday changes to its board and senior management, which reflects the transition of the company?s focus from business development to project execution.

Andalas said in a statement that Paul Warwick will retire from his role as Chairman of the board. David Whitby will assume the role of Chairman, Robert Arnott will be appointed senior non-executive director and Simon Gorringe will become Chief Executive Officer. The changes will take effect immediately, the company said.

?Andalas is moving into its next phase as an IPP developer. Whilstthe Company will continue its business development program, the recent operational progress dictates that our day to day focus shifts to project execution,? Withby said in the statement.

As COO, Gorringe has been at the center of the company?s business development initiatives and his experience and track record of delivering international energy projects, including Indonesian projects, makes him the ideal candidate to deliver Andalas? next phase of development and ultimately first power, he said.

Andalas is planning to develop wellhead gas-fired power plants in Indonesia.
