Anggur-3 well in Sampang PSC E. Java reaches 2580 m

Australian oil and gas firm Santos Limited said Thursday wildcat drilling in Anggur-3 gas exploration well in Sampang exploration block offshore East Java had reached 2580 meters with 528 meters progress for the week.

Santos said the planned total depth for the well is 2,708 meters.

Earlier, Santos? partner Cue Energy Limited said that Anggur structure had the potential to contain in excess of 500 billion standard cubic feet of recoverable gas and in excess of 100 million barrels of recoverable oil on an unrisked basis

Santos, the block?s operator owns 45 percent working interest in Sampang exploration block, while Coastal Indonesia Sampang and Cue own 40 percent and 15 percent, respectively. (alex)
