Anoa phase 4 project set to commence

UK oil and gas firm Premier Oil announced on Thursday that the final phase of construction to complete the Anoa phase 4 project is scheduled to commence shortly at the Anoa field on the Natuna Sea Block A.
The company said in a report that after the project was sanctioned in last November and the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract has been awarded soon afterward, the entire project is expected to be completed during 2013 and will develop around 200 bcf of proven reserves, through increasing the Anoa compression capability.
Other key activities within the block, namely Pelikan and Naga projects, are also making progress. It said Pelikan and Naga development drilling is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2014.
The Pelikan and Naga fields will be dedicated to maintaining the gas profiles of GSA1 and GSA 2 respectively and will be tied in to the new Gajah Baru central processing platform for export.
Work will then commence on the next development project, the tie-in of the Gajah Puteri field, to maintain gas deliverability in the future.
The two projects will involve drilling six new development wells. First gas will be delivered in 2014 to supply existing Indonesia and Singapore sales contracts.
