Another LNG tanker due to make loading in Arun Dec 31

Thursday, December 30 2004 - 01:05 AM WIB

Upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS said that LNG tanker Dewa Maru is schedule to arrive in Arun on December 31, 2004 to make LNG loading, one day later than original schedule of Dec.30.

BPMigas deputy chairman Trijana Kartoatmodjo said the tanker would ship 123,000 m3 of Arun LNG to Japan?s Western Buyers. Loading would take 2 days, he said.

Two tankers had left Arun for Japan and Korea on Tuesday morning after successfully loading around 125,000 m3 of LNG to each tanker.

Giant earthquake followed by tidal waves that hit Aceh on Sunday had caused LNG loading to be delayed for several hours on Sunday. BPMIGAS earlier mentioned about possibility to halt shipment on fear of aftershocks. ?We hope everything is OK and aftershocks do not happen,? he said.

Trijana also said Arun NGL is still 3 cargoes short of its 2004 commitments. ?Shipments of 2004 commitments would continue in January,? he said, without giving further detail.(alex)
