Antam 2001 sales up 10.5%

Indonesia's nickel and gold miner PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) said on Tuesday its 2001 sales revenue rose to 1.73 trillion rupiah ($168 million) compared to 1.57 trillion in 2000.

The state-owned firm said in a statement total export revenue had eased to 1.39 trillion rupiah in 2001 from 1.49 trillion the previous year while domestic sales rose to 337 billion rupiah from 80 billion in the same period.

Antam also sells nickel ore, bauxite, iron sand and silver.(*)
