Antam accused of killing mangrove and sea cucumber

Mud collection caused by erosions at the nickel mine owned by publicly listed state mining company PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) has been blamed for killing mangrove and sea cucumber in Tambea village, Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi, Kompas daily reported.

The construction of several check-dams by the company was still unable to prevent the mud collection from occurring, the paper said. (*)
