Antam and Aluminum Corp of China sign MOU

State owned mining company PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) and Chinese company Aluminum Corporation China Limited have agreed to jointly build an aluminum refinery plant in Indonesia, The jakarta Post reported on Thursday.

The agreement was one of six memorandum of understanding (MOUs) signed by Indonesian and Chinese companies during the official visit of Vice President M. Jusuf Kalla to Beijing on Wednesday.

There was no statement from Antam about the MOU, but according to earlier reports, Antam is seeking

partners to jointly develop its chemical grade alumina (CGA) plant, which would be built in Tayan, South Kalimantan. (*)
