Antam books revenue of Rp708 billion in Q2

Publicly listed general mining company PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (Antam) booked revenue of Rp 707.9 billion (US$=Rp9,082) in the second quarter of 2002, compared with Rp342.9 billion in the first quarter, its corporate secretary Dohar Siregar said on Tuesday as reported by Neraca daily.
The Rp 707.9 billion comprised Rp530.5 billion from exports and Rp177.4 billion from domestic sales.
In the January-June period, Antam produced 3,715 tons of ferronickel, 1,942,442 wmt of nickel ore, 1,492 kilograms of gold, 10,122 kg silver, 613,264 wmt of bauxite, and 202,906 wmt of iron ore.
Antam had expected to produce in 2002 around 9,100 tons of ferronickel, more than 2.500,000 wmt of nickel ore, 3,485 kg of gold, and 20,700 kg of silver.
The company is majority owned by the government. (*)
