Antam coal unit suffers 46% drop in coal sales

IDX-listed mining firm PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) said on Monday that its coal mining subsidiary PT Indonesia Coal Resources (ICR) suffered a 46 percent drop in coal sales volume during the first quarter of this year amid lingering coal downturn.
Antam said that ICR booked a coal sales volume of 78,295 tons in the January-March period of this year compared 144,766 tons in the corresponding period of last year.
The company said that the coal sales volume generated first quarter revenue of Rp 39.47 billion, down from Rp 48 billion in the same period of last year. It did not provide further details.
ICR operates coal concession in Sorolangun, Jambi Province.
