IDX-listed mining firm PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (Antam) signed on Wednesday an ?integrated commitment? with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to help prevent corrupt practices in the state-controlled company.
The agreement was signed by Antam President Director Arie Prabowo Ariotedjo and KPK Director Giri Suprapdiono, Antam said in a statement.
Arie said that Antam is committed toward good corporate governance. He said that the signing of the commitment agreement with KPK will help create synergy and strengthen efforts to prevent graft practices in the company including banning company employees from receiving or giving gratifications.
State-owned companies in the country have often been treated as cash cow of corrupt politicians.
