Antam looking for 8,000 tons of coal per month

Publicly-listed state owned nickel and gold mining company PT Aneka Tambang (Antam)is offering a contract to supply the firm with 8,000 tons of coal per month.

P.J. Tambunan, Procurement & Material Management Officer at Antam's mining business unit in Pomalaa, Southeast Sulawesi, told Petromindo.com on Tuesday that the tender opened for coal traders and miners.

"We are looking for a 300-feet vessel of 8,000 tons of coal each month from the spot market. The supplier, either a coal trader or miner, must be reliable," he said.

He did not specify the deadline for interested parties to submit their bids for the contract.

In ads published in several newspapers on Tuesday, Antam said it needed coal with a gross calorofic value of up to 6,600 Kcal/kg, a maximum sulphur content of 1.2 percent and a hardgrove grindability index (HGI) of 38-45. (denny)
