Antam names new president director, commissioner

Shareholders of mining firm PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (IDX: ANTM), or Antam, have appointed Untung Budiharto as President Director and Irwandy Arif as President Commissioner following a decision at the company’s extraordinary general meeting of shareholders (EGMS) held on Monday.

The EGMS approved the dismissal of Achmad Ardianto from his position as president director, while Rauf Purnama was honorably discharged from his role as president commissioner and independent commissioner.

Untung Budiharto previously served as president commissioner of PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) since June 2023. A retired Indonesian Army general, he held various senior positions during his military career, including commander of the Jakarta Military Command (Kodam Jaya).

Irwandy Arif was appointed as an Antam commissioner in June 2025. He previously served as a special staff member to the minister of energy and mineral resources from 2019 to 2024 and as president commissioner of coal miner PT Bukit Asam Tbk from 2020 to 2025. He is also a former chairman of the Indonesian Mining Experts Association (Perhapi) and a professor of mining engineering at the Bandung Institute of Technology.
