IDX-listed state-owned mining company PT Aneka Tambang Tbk is optimistic to reach the target of gold production from its Pongkor gold mine in West Java.
Corporate Secretary Tri Hartono told Petromindo.com on Wednesday that in the first half of this year, the company produced about 856 kilograms of gold from Pongkor, around half of the annual target of 1,701 kilograms.
However, the company only produced about 412 kilograms, less than half of the annual target of 1,100 kilograms, from its Cibaliung gold mine, also in West Java.
Hence, in the first half year, the company produced a total of 1,268 kilograms from both gold mines, less than half of the annual target of 2,801 kilograms.
