Antam reports higher coal production

IDX-listed mining firm PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (Antam) said that its coal mining subsidiary PT Indonesia Coal Resources (ICR) saw output in the first six months of this year increased to 293,150 tons, a 36.75 percent rise from 214,356 tons in the corresponding period of last year.
Antam said on Friday that ICR sold 306,022 tons of coal during the period, up from 261,254 tons in the first semester of last year, obtaining unaudited revenue of Rp 102.2 billion.
ICR produces coal from Sarolangun coal mine located in Jambi Province. The non-JORC coal reserves stands at 8.25 million tons with calorific value of 5,300-5,500 Kcal/kg. Antam sells its coal to the export as well as domestic markets.
