IDX-listed mining firm PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (Antam) has set a target for its ore preparation line-4 facility, which is part of the Pomalaa ferronickel plant expansion project in Southeast Sulawesi, to start operation in the fourth quarter of next year.

Finance Director Djaja M. Tambunan told Petromindo.com that as of May, about 53 percent of the targeted works have been completed.

He said that once the project has been completed, Antam would be able to increase its nickel production capacity from 19,000 TNi per year to 27,000 TNi per year.

Construction of the ore preparation line-4 facility is being handled by a consortium of Kawasaki Heavy Industries and IDX-listed construction firm PT Wijaya Karya Tbk.
