Antam?s net profit soars in 2007

IDX-listed mining firm PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) said on Monday its 2007 profit more than tripled on higher nickel and gold prices and increased production.
Net income jumped to Rp 5.12 trillion (1US$=9,060) from Rp 1.55 trillion in previous year, Antam said in a statement.
Sales gained to Rp 12 trillion.
Antam produced 6,274 tons of nickel contained in ferronickel in the fourth of 2007, a 38 percent increase over the same quarter last year. Antam?s 2007 full year production increased 28 percent to 18,532 tons, an all time high, it said in statement in Feb 2008. (godang)
