Antam?s Pongkor gold mine awarded ISO 14001

State miner PT Antam Tbk. announced on Monday its gold business unit, SBU Gold, which mines gold in Pongkor, Banten, had received the ISO 14001 Green Dove Award for Environmental Management Certificate from QAS Australia.
Pongkor?s first 14001 certificate is the second environmental accreditation for Antam following certification of SBU Nickel?s Pomalaa Nickel Mine, which was certified in November 2000.
Antam has received other international accreditation, including the ISO 9002 Quality Management Certificate for SBU Nickel, ISO 14001 Environmental Management Certificate for SBU Nickel and ISO Guide 25 for the quality of its processing and refining at SBU Logam Mulia.(alex)
